The University Community Children’s Choir (UCCC) is composed of over fifty children aged seven to fifteen from the vibrant community surrounding the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The choristers’ shining faces illustrate Canada’s amazing cultural diversity; its members come from every continent of the world except Antarctica! Many of the choristers are children of international students and faculty at the University of British Columbia, and they bring the spice of diverse cultures to their music. In its first year, the Choir won first in its class at the 2008 Kiwanis Music Festival in Vancouver and was runner-up at the provincial level. As a member of the BC Choral Federation, the Choir has participated in a multi-choir performance at the prestigious Chan Centre for the Performing Arts and at a province-wide Choral Festival in Whistler.
